mgrandiSo they delete the item on the IA and then upload a new one?
-
mgrandiWhy not just make a new item for each one
-
masterX244you can rewind the internetarchive-dump though since the post history is in the dump, too.
-
masterX244(regarding stackexchange)
-
JAAmasterX244: Deleted questions aren't in the newer dumps according to what I've read.

OrIdow6Ryz: You're the one to know, what's the current procedure to archive Google Docs?
-
OrIdow6I remember something about saving the exported version or something like that
-
OrIdow6Maybe that was Google Excel
-
RyzWell OrIdow6, when using ArchiveBot, I "!ao" stuff like docs.google.com/document/d/1sBdqR4e…WHsteSbjD9wGzH1OFLQy2Iw/mobilebasic - with '/mobilebasic' in particular at the end to make it work, sometimes it doesn't do that,
-
RyzAnd an alternative is "!ao" with something like docs.google.com/document/d/1fGKPBwH…mw4HXVrbPWjxw_A_KLhXcAyXp7rg/export
-
RyzKeep in mind this is for the Word-like documents; I never done archiving of say spreadsheets or presentation slides before so I'm not sure if the same stuff of what I said applies
-
RyzTrying to archive something like docs.google.com/document/d/1YiB4SNc…e-lxtKzT3k1EnlJ7ysKE71jAzKGg6o/edit in AB is not really feasible as the contents won't render properly s:
-
JAAThere are like half a dozen of these. /export exists as well with a parameter for file formats. For spreadsheets, there's /pubhtml.
-
JAA/pub is also a thing I believe.
-
JAABut not all of these work on all documents/spreadsheets. Sometimes, you get an error or a redirect to the login instead.
-
JAAAlso, beware of rate limits. Google's particularly annoying in that regard.
-
RyzOne source for finding these kinds of documents is Twitter; reminded of those callout documents
-
RyzOrganizations do unfortunately use Google Docs too (probably as their take on archiving their stuff) s:
-
Ajaycanvas is now a render target in flutter web, so expect this to become common-place in the future
-
OrIdow6Is there anything indicating that all these export options won't work when they switch to canvas?
-
OrIdow6Though I suppose a proactive Google Docs projec tmight be nice anyway
-
AjayI'm pretty sure google sheets already uses canvas
-
Ajayor some other non DOM thing
