Terbiumhave been watching ArchiveBox for a couple years now in hope recursive crawling would be implemented
-
Terbiumso far the project looks amazing for small scale archiving, unfortunately doesn't handle my use case :/
-
hook54321Terbium: have you looked at grab-site?
-
TerbiumYep, have been using grab-site for years now. But doesn't handle JavaScript rendered sites sadly.

atphoenix_themadpro, Antiriad is a thing per en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sacred_Armour_of_Antiriad and goes by various names depending on country. I didn't recognize it.
-
atphoenix_kpcyrd, look at how the power adapter is connected to the wall power wires
-
WaywardSo. NFTs. Is this going to need some archiving?
-
Wayward
-
WaywardI 'got' Bitcoin right away. This, I don't really get. But apparently you can draw a picture and someone will give you a million bucks for it, if it's a so-called NFT.
-
WaywardEven before blockchain NFTs, an informal system of "adopting" artwork has apparently been around for years. :S youtu.be/DTHgEV-xUSg
-
JakeIt's just another collectible - but online and on a "blockchain". Just like baseball or pokemon cards.
-
JakeNFTs right now are just links to pictures.
-
WaywardUntil Magic The Gathering cards get minted and traded this way...
-
JakeHonestly wouldn't surprise me. I think it's all kind of dumb.
-
WaywardWatch that video. I found it rather enlightening, and a strange evolution from hyper famous artists like Vivziepop selling / "adopting" their already-made characters as a form of commission or consignment... to, well this.

atphoenixNFT isn't a store of value. It might be like art where the 'original' is really just a series of mechanical prints of a design by an artist, and that artist signed 1 or more copies of the print. I don't get monetary valuations of art paintings either and have no plans to buy paintings or NFTs. I do recognize they can have aesthetic and cultural value.
