-
OrIdow6Wow
-
OrIdow6For that price you might be able to buy an old computer with a floppy drive
-
h3ndr1kgeizhals.at/391975 It's in Europe, but shouldn't there be other drives in the US, or whereever you are?
-
h3ndr1kSomehow I got the link for Austria only. You can find the link to the general product page
-
Waywardh3ndr1k: yes, they made some 3-1/2" floppy drives that work on SATA and on USB. But you still need an FDD controller for 5-1/4" drives. No known drives made that used SATA or USB.
-
WaywardAlso those 3-1/2" drives were very specific in the media they could take, unlike standard FDD drives.
-
h3ndr1kWayward: I did not know that there are different kinds of floppies. Was before my time. Also I missed the 5.25" vs 3.5" difference.
-
Doran5-1/4" ones were old and on their way out by the time I was using PCs - I handled Amiga floppies and then went to Windows 3.11, so I only vaguely remember handling one of the big thin ones as a child at school
-
Doranwhich is why when I found one with some software on it, I just mailed it off to the IA, lol
-
Doranno way could I read that on any of my hardware
-
Doranit should be getting there in the next few days or so
