pokechu22Ryz: #enjinxed, wiki.archiveteam.org/index.php/Enjin - yeah, this was already known about and I've been experimenting with it via archivebot. I think I have a decent list of ignores, and as long as you don't enter user profile pages the job doesn't blow up too much (but if you do enter user profile pages then it will start crawling users not even related to the guild
-
pokechu22you started at)
-
nexusxehello! probably the billionth person to ask this, but are requests for relatively small seemingly-alive sites allowed? ka9qjg-repeaters.groups.io is a site for a local amateur radio club and has lots of details and accounts of now-passed members of the local community
-
nexusxei'd hate to see it go offline and be gone one day, especially since some of the people running it are rather old
-
joepie91|msuch requests are generally fine yeah
-
joepie91|mthey'll often end up being handled by archivebot
-
joepie91|massuming someone is around to throw it in :p
-
nexusxeis there somewhere specific to put it?
-
nexusxelike do i put the request in that channel? it's not really urgent, but
-
pokechu22#archivebot is the channel but I can just run it from here
-
pokechu22er, rather, I'd still run it in the channel, but you don't need to post it there as well
-
JAAYou can ask in #archivebot, but it's not unusual to get buried in bot noise there. Either here or there is fine.
-
pokechu22groups.io is for mailing lists, right? I'm not sure if you can access the posts unless you're signed in
-
JAAIt's configurable I believe. In this case: 'Archive is visible to members only.'
-
pokechu22Yeah, archivebot can't do anything with that then - compare repeaterbook.groups.io/g/repeaterbook (in private browsing)
-
nexusxejust logged out and it seems you're right... ugh
-
nexusxealright, i'll talk to the guy who runs it about that, thanks
